Our Values

WORSHIPPING

We believe that we are called to worship God as a group and individually in the way we live our lives every day giving our gifts and lives to God in true thankfulness for what he has done for us through Jesus. We believe that God's Word the Bible is the first authority for how we should live our lives both individually and corporately. We believe that prayer is both powerful and essential to our life together.

GROWING

We believe that each one of us needs to develop and grow in our relationship with God and in our knowledge and understanding of Him. We believe that the Holy Spirit is essential to this growth and that it is important to identify and use our spiritual gifts. We believe that everyone is equal in God's sight and uniquely gifted and that we need to encourage each individual to develop their gifts and reach their true potential in God. We believe that children and young people are as important as adults and we take our responsibility for caring for them and nurturing their faith seriously. We believe the Church should be lead by gifted leaders, both men and women, responsible to God.

ENGAGING

We believe it is important to demonstrate God's love in practical ways to the communities in which we live and work. We are to help the needy and hurting and be involved in social action. We believe that everyone matters to God and that he wants us to share our faith in Him so that others will be encouraged to know Him and his great love for them personally. It is important for us to look beyond our immediate communities and to participate in and support world mission.

LOVING

We believe that God wants us to relate to each other as a loving family where each individual is valued and cared for. Integrity, honesty and unity are values we strive to attain in all we try to do and be. We believe it is important for us to meet together regularly in large and in small groups to support each other practically and in our spiritual journey.

At New Life Baptist, we believe that the church is nothing less than the hope of the world
